Late Work
It is YOUR responsibility to find out what you missed when you are not in class. Please check my assignment page before checking with me. I am more than happy to go over anything you don't understand on the assignment page after you've read it A good time to do this would be*before school between 7:50 and 8:10 , 1st period, or 4th period. I am not here after 6th period.
If your absence is due to an illness, you have one day per day absent to make up your work.
If the assignment is " just l ate," i t's 10% off the first day and half cred it after that. (It's ALWAYS better to turn in something than to leave it a 0. It not only helps your grade, but it says something about your work ethic.)

Writer’s Notebook Assignment
Assigned: Thursday, Oct. 8
Due: Monday , Oct. 26
Over the next two weeks, write a minimum of 6 pages of wr iting in your writer’s notebook, 1 page per any six days of you c hoice. No skipping lines, no starting three or four lines from the top, and no writing so big that you only fit three words on a line.
Figure out six days between now and Monday, Oct. 26 that you can sit down for about 10-15 minutes to write. Part of this exercise is for you to determine when and where you like to write and to get into the habit of setting aside periods of time to write.
Do not write all six pages in one setting.
You will be given completion credit for these entries, but in order to receive full completion credit, you need to have the date/title on the top line, and you need to have at least a page of meaningful, thoughtful writing.
Find topics that matter to you. Your notebook is chock full of them (Heart Map, Memorable Childhood Moments) Figure out what you like to write about and write it. Use the When You Have Writer’s Block i f you need it.
