INFORMATION ON CLASS RULES FOR FCS:
Students are held responsible for student policy rules as written in the student handbook. The following rules also apply to Family and Consumer Sciences students.
Class Structure:
1. Enter class and sit quietly in your assigned seat.
2. If tardy, remember to have your student planner signed.
3. Bring your Family and Consumer Sciences folder with paper, pencil, and pen to
class each day. Keep all handouts, assignments, brochures from class
in your folder.
4. When you have a question or comment, raise your hand and wait for the
instructor to call on you.
5. Check out classroom textbooks after school and always return them before school the next day. Check out these books by signing the book card and giving it to the instructor.
Student Responsibilities:
1. When you return from an absence (illness, appointment, band lesson, alpha etc.), check with the instructor for make-up work. Assignments due on this day are the responsibility of the student.
Also, check the make-up folder for assignments.
2. Be prepared to take missed tests/quizzes when you return to school.
This is definitely a student responsibility.
3. Put your name on all papers. No name means no credit will be earned.
4. Using the restroom and the drinking fountain should be done during the passing
time between classes.
5. Do not talk during tests/quizzes. This could result in a zero.
6. Hand in all class assignments on time. NO LATE ASSIGNMENTS!!!!!!!!!!
7. Pay attention in class. Cooperate in laboratory classes. Respect your teachers,classmates, and all school property.
8. Sewing projects are to be completed at school. Incomplete sewing projects will result in an “F.”
Special Procedures or Directions:
1. No gum or candy in the FCS classrooms.
2. Do not lean back on your chairs.
3. Do not sit on tables, sewing machine tables, or counters.
4. The teachers’ desks and personal belongings are off limits to students.
Grading Scale:
A 96-100
A- 93-95
B+ 90-92
B 85-89
B- 82-84
C+ 79-81
C 74-78
C- 71-73
D+ 68-70
D 63-67
D- 60-62
F 59 and below
